DaBrat Pulls ScarLip, Saucy Santana, Lakeyah, Big Boss Vette For Cypher
Da Brat, along with her wife‘s hair care line Kaleidoscope, presented an exciting rap cypher at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards with ScarLip, Saucy Santana, Lakeyah, and Big Boss Vette.
The promotional segment wasn’t televised during the actual awards ceremony, but was available to watch online. The So So Def vet saluted Hip-Hop’s pioneers and toasted to “the new generation,” who all rapped about various Kaleidoscope hair products.
Coming from under colorful hairdryers, Scarlip rapped, “You don’t want it with the apes, you don’t want it with the Grapes/ You can’t get a chain from Busta, then go chill with Mary J./ Some ni**as like to hold the pole, but me I use Kaleidoscope.”
Big Boss Vette caught Scar’s ally-oop with, “Only products in my hair is the full Brat collection/ My hair growing so good, I don’t even need extensions/ I stay slayed, you real played, you use the wrong stuff/ I’m obsessed with her scalp spray, I can’t get enough.”
With her usual bossy persona, Lakeyah entered the cyph spitting, “I’m the motherf**king female goat, I got on, I had to stamp that/ They gon’ need Kaleidoscope when I’m done with this wig snatch/ Treat it like a leave out the way I cover and bless tracks/ They silk pressed, these bi**hes is gimmicks, I give fresh facts.”

DaBrat plugged her own Kaleidoscope line in the end, letting viewers know it’s available in Walmart.
The Funkdafied rapper also hit the stage with her So So Def family during the Hip-Hop Awards, as she and Bow Wow rapped their verses from Dem Franchize Boyz’s hit, “I Think They Like Me (Remix).”
